About Me

Canadian by birth, German at heart, Citizen of Heaven most of all.

I love a steaming cup of tea in my hand, journal on my lap and feet propped up in front of the fireplace.

Welcome to my online 'living room' where I invite you to have a seat and ponder together with me Who Jesus is and what faith means.

When my husband and I heard the Lord's call to move to Germany and came in 2011, we had no idea what adventures would be waiting for us! A journey that began in response to the needs of my mother-in-law who was dealing with the effects of a stroke has turned into a wild ride of learning to serve, to stand, to supplicate. We're so thankful for His mercies that are new each morning!

And we're blessed and excited to be part of a revival center here - constantly encountering and helping others meet God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit as Healer, Provider, Comforter, Guide and Bondage-Breaker. What an awesome God we serve!

Thus the title of this blog: Pursuing One Thing (Psalm 27:4). What does this world have to offer that could even come close to the exhiliration of a relationship with the Creator of the universe? What else is worth giving up our rights, our fights, our sights? Who else is worth pursuing other than the Lover of our souls Who first pursued us?

Join me as I share my life and thoughts and some of what God is speaking to me, and may you be built up and encouraged to pursue Him more passionately. I'd love to hear from you about topics you'd like to see addressed or questions you have! Feel free to leave a comment, as well as hit one of the share buttons to send posts to others you think may be interested.

With you in the Pursuit,
~Kristyn

  1. Hello, Kristyn - Joining your here from the Intentional Blogging (Christian) group...

I had to smile at your identification... I'm also born in Canada. I have a strong German background (German school every Saturday morning as a child), but now we live in the United States. I'll often refer to my identity as Christian, 'cause these country identities are secondary! :-)

Neat that you have a German background. I love the culture and people (and language)!
